The Institute
For the study of mythological, cryptid, creatures of folklore and others.
The Institute exists for the purpose of studying, chronicling, containing, and finding useful purposes for creatures that defy the normal animal kingdom classifications. These include, but are not limited to: cryptids, “mythological”, creatures of folklore, or urban legend. Our Institute seeks to better understand, but more importantly, keep these creatures in a safe location away from the public at large. The Institute is privately funded, and receives no monies form any government agency or entity. This allows the Institute to operate with complete autonomy and free from the regulations and interference of such entities that would inhibit prompt, thorough and frequently dangerous research. Our creatures are kept in enclosures that are similar to their native environments to keep them calm and easier to control and monitor. Think of our Institute like a zoo that you wouldn’t want to be locked in after dark.
The following are highlights of some of the current creatures housed at the Institute. Be advised, some exhibits are subject to change, or might be off-limits, due to current state of house creatures and anomalies.
